Clutch Industries “Mobile Showrooms” – Hit the Streets

Clutch Industries (CI) has released pictures of its new Trade Cruisers, which are bound to get the attention of many people within the industry. In what CI believes to be a unique model within the industry, the company plans to change its method of trade representation and communication, “If you can’t get to the clutch company then the clutch company’s coming to you”.

Showing samples of new products to our customers has always been very difficult, the size and weight of the product makes it very hard to handle and display. As has been the case for the past 60 years we have relied upon holding regional training programmes and inviting local trades people to such events, however given that we are all time poor this method of contact and training is no longer the most effective form of communication.

In conjunction with the newly developed online Training and Technical video programme from CI (which can be viewed at either of the companies 2 web sites  www.clutchindustries.com.au or www.ciperformance.com.au.) the CI Mobile Showrooms offer a convenient and time effective means of providing the support the trade is looking for. As such the new CI Mobile Showrooms are more “mobile showrooms” than anything else, says CI Sales and Marketing Co-ordinator Sally McMahon. There’s nothing better than discussing the features of our products, with the actual product in front of the client.

The vehicles have been painted in a very distinctive livery and as such it won’t be hard to see them coming. We are told its all part of making sure the trade understands who CI is and what it is that they do. “Its import for the trade to understand our business and our commitment to local design, development and manufacturing.  CI continues to manufacture, Clutch Cover assemblies, clutch plates and with the recent addition of our new flywheel manufacturing facility in Melbourne, Flywheels in Australia. “

The vehicles have been specifically modified to do the job so in addition to the “product displays” each vehicle also carries a range of signage, promotional items and brochures.  It makes it very easy for our customers to select the appropriate items from the range of promotional materials available.  Also fitted into each vehicle is a LCD Television, which is equipped with a number of videos and promotional products to help with added support for the customer.

“The benefits of using this form of mobile marketing platform are numerous. It makes it much easier to communicate the benefits of our products when we have samples readily available. It also helps CI Staff to provide support for our  customers trade shows.  It means that one of the CI customer service team simply drives to the trade show venue and then sets up the cruiser. All they need is inside.”

So get used to seeing the CI Mobile Showrooms, which hit the streets in May 2011 and with more planed over the next 12 months it’s going to become a familiar sight for many in the trade.
