Clutch Industries has added over 20 new applications to the Dual Mass Replacement Range of clutch kits. It’s easy to tell a Dual Mass Replacement kit from an OEM style dual mass flywheel kit via the CI part numbering system;

DMR 0000 N
The “DMR” means Dual Mass Replacement. The kit will contain a solid flywheel replacement for the OEM style dual mass flywheel + the necessary Clutch Cover, Plate and bearing. The four-digit number that follows indicates the replacement kit number and the “N” means new kit.

E.g.    DMR1219N (Kit with Dual Mass Replacement flywheel included)

DMF 0000 N

Dual Mass Flywheels have been fitted as Original Equipment for several years and many makes and models using DMF’s are available in Australia. These include BMW, Ford Commercial, Holden Commodore and Jackaroo, Mercedes Benz, Mitsubishi Pajero, Nissan S15 Silvia and Patrol, Toyota Hilux, Landcruiser, Surf and some Subaru models.

A Dual Mass Flywheel (DMF) consist of two main components, the primary component nearest the crankshaft moves independently of the secondary component to which the clutch unit is bolted. Thus reducing the transmission of Noise Vibration and Harshness (NVH) along the driveline.

Clutch Industries provides the aftermarket with Replacement Clutch Kits which include OEM style Dual Mass Flywheels as well as a cost effective alternative to Dual Mass Flywheels.

CI’s DMR ( dual mass replacement ) kits but have been engineered to best reproduce the angularity characteristics of a Dual Mass flywheel while utilizing a Solid Flywheel replacement .
