Subaru OC Clutch Plate

Performance clutches used in many vehicles consist of an upgraded cover assembly with a higher clamp load compared to standard, and clutch plates with cera-metallic facings in place of the standard organic facings.

This combination works extremely well in most vehicles. However Subaru enthusiasts have found that the configuration can damage the transmission of some applications.  (Harsh shocks through the gearbox compromise elements of the transmission). 

Consequently they have been looking for a performance clutch option that upgrades torque capacity but does not have the characteristic harsh pick up associated with cera-metallic facings.

CI Performance have delivered the answer with the OC Clutch Plate. This Clutch Plate has a cera-metallic facing on one side and an organic facing on the other (hence the OC prefix - organic/ceramic).

The result is a combination that gives a more progressive engagement than a cera-metallic clutch plate, provides the extra performance needed by enthusiast AND protects the gearbox.
