V8 Race Experience renews appointment of CI as technical partner

What makes a great clutch in a V8? Australia’s premier provider of V8 Racing Drive Days, V8 Race Experience, who run a fleet of V8 Holden and V8 Ford Race cars, are better placed than anyone to comment.

Doug Greenslade General Manager says “Our environment is the toughest there is. We expect the highest performance from a clutch, and at the same time, our business is putting inexperienced racers into high performance cars. It’s possibly the harshest combination there can be on driveline, and specifically the clutch”.

Searching for a better clutch system, V8 Race Experience changed to Clutch Industries. The aim was to tap into Clutch Industries Engineering and Test capability, the only one of its type in Australia. This capability enables CI to respond and develop a clutch system in ways others can’t.

One year down the track that capability has delivered a significantly better result for V8 Race Experience. Doug Greenslade says “the improvement is terrific, we are very satisfied with the clutch systems developed by Clutch Industries. Renewing our contract was one of the easiest decisions we’ve made.”

Clutch Industries performance division, CI Performance, uses the Technology developed in these types of racing programs to enhance the Performance Kits available to enthusiasts for street, track and off road applications. CI have now released a new range of V8 Kits which incorporate the same features enjoyed by operations such as V8 Race Experience and V8 Ute Racing.
